Simple and functional, the design permits the illumination of a single or different areas. Due to the independent rotation of each arm and each shade, the SL9 wall lamp can project light into a room at multiple angles. When the lamp is placed over a table or seating area, the dimmer is still easily reachable, while the design of the arms allows free movement underneath.

The lamp is entirely hand crafted (except for the electrical components). The shades were hand spun from 1.5 mm aluminium over a hand made steel mold. The asymmetrical shape of the shade and the tiny slits were also cut by hand. The body is made from steel sheet and tubes, which were bent, threaded, and welded by hand. It has a black matte car paint finish. All brass components were hand polished and waxed, and they will develop natural patina over time. The swivel joints (made in Germany) were customized for the lamp. The logo is also handmade. 

The SL9 has one of the most versatile trailing edge dimmers (made in England), allowing to dim LED's, energy saving, or incandescent bulbs.

It is designed to be easily mounted on a wall with two attachment points. Both arms can independently rotate 150°. The shades are attached to the arms with swivel joints, which have a rotation of 360° and a bending angle of 90°. The shades themselves also have a 360° rotation range. 

The SL9 wall lamp was developed as a continuation of the SL9 series.
